Q: Is dowsing scientifically supported?
A: There have been various scientific studies conducted over the years that conclude that dowsing, when carried out by a skilled professional, is an effective method of locating underground water. Some links to articles are posted below. Science aside, from my own personal experience, track record and success rate, I firmly believe that dowsing is an effective way of locating water.
Q: What happens if water is not found on our project at the point where you have indicated?
A: That is highly unlikely to happen. I have an over 99% success rate and on the one occasion in my dowsing career where I didn’t identify water in the first instance, I didn’t have full access to the site due to a boundary dispute so had to estimate some of my calculations which unfortunately affected my results. I did however find water on the second attempt after gaining full access. On all other projects where full site access is available I have a 100% success rate. However should I give a false result, I would of course refund my fee immediately.
Q: Is there any disruption to the land or environment as part of your service?
A: None. All I use is my dowsing rod and my feet.
Q: What is the advantage of dowsing over other water location methods?
A: Locating water by means of geological and environmental surveys can be time consuming, very costly and ultimately delivers no higher a degree of success than a competent dowser. Studies have shown that dowsing is just as accurate, is less expensive, quicker and doesn’t require any disruption to the land. As well as locating water I can also accurately predict the depth, quantity and likely quality of the water located.
Q: How much does your service cost?
A: A full site survey and a written report costs £350 + travel expenses. Travel costs can be given as part of a formal quotation.
